Blue Scarf EARTH Day walk

Please Join Us From 12-1:30 PM at the Cardinal Flahiff Basilian Centre at 95 St. Joseph St. Toronto to prepare for the Earth Walk by designing posters and lunching on pizza

ROUTE PLAN
1) Meeting under the trees in Queen’s Park North. Bob Holmes from the Basilian Centre for Peace & Justice
will lead us in an Earth Day meditation about creation and our place in the universe.
2) Philosophers Walk, UofT (just west of Queen’s Park). Development and Peace will lead an interactive
session on the sacredness of water, standing above the buried stream, Taddle Creek.
3) King’s College Circle, UofT. Robyn will lead a discussion on Urban Gardening.
4) Green space on the NE corner of College and University. Looking at the Munk Centre across the street,
D&P will lead a discussion on Extractivism, who gains and who loses.
5) Ryerson green space, off of Yonge and Gould. KAIROS will lead a myth-busting conversation on a just
transition to a sustainable energy economy. This session will also prepare the group for the action of
collecting signature on “End Fossil Fuel Subsidies” postcards.
6) Dundas Square. Entire group of walkers spreads out across the Square and intersection to hand out and
collect “End Fossil Fuel Subsidies” postcards.

A box, clipboards and pens will be provided for easy collection of signatures.
