Retreat Day: St. Kateri Tekakwitha

Event Date:
Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 9:00am - 4:00pm

Kateri Tekakwitha, known as the Lily of the Mohawks, is North America's first indigenous saint. This retreat day will trace her beginnings from a village ravaged by a small pox epidemic, leaving her orphaned at four years old. She endured many sufferings and felt a call to be baptized a Christian by the Jesuits. There have been many healings attributed to her. Yet she was also a child of nature – always seeking God in creation. The church has named her a patron saint of ecology. Facilitated by Sr. Linda Gregg, CSJ. To register, see contact below.

COST: $40, includes lunch and snacks.
