Excommunication & the Catholic Church

Event Date:
Wednesday, May 1, 2019 - 7:00pm

Though we know excommunication to have a negative connotation, the depth of it is not darkness or exclusion, but rather, a sense of hope and repentance. While it excludes Catholics from receiving the Church’s spiritual goods, its truth encourages conversion, the return to the light through the communion of grace. Join us as Msgr. Owen Keenan, Canon Lawyer, speaks to us about the history of excommunication and how it is applied today. As always, there will be snacks, social and adoration! Hope to see you there!
