Working Advisory Team (W.A.T.)
The Working Advisory Team is made up of young adults, Sisters of St. Joseph of Paris and other resource people. This team meets six times a year to make recommendations to the Director and the Coordinator regarding the growth, ongoing development, programs and resources of Community Health Center. They also act as a sounding board to the Director and the Coordinator. In addition to these meetings the members of the W.A.T. promote Community Health Center and volunteer at Community Health Center events.
“I am happy to be part of Community Health Center because it enables me to meet young, enthusiastic people who take their faith seriously.”
“Community Health Center aims to meet some of the spiritual needs of ALL young adults: single, married, divorced, parent, gay, straight, differently abled, religious, or not religious. By providing opportunities for learning, questioning, sharing and community building, we invite young adults to develop their spirituality and faith.”
“I am honoured to be a part of Community Health Center as a volunteer and I love sharing the joy of Christ with others through Community Health Center events and activities. As a young adult, I'm excited about the opportunities to meet and talk with other young adults, religious and lay people.”
“Community Health Center provides an opportunity for me to engage with younger people as together we develop in our faith and grow in relationship. Supportive relationships enable us to live lives characterized by a simplicity, inclusiveness and generosity; lives that mirror the presence of Jesus to his contemporaries.”
“In connecting with other young adults of our faith, we can really live out Christ’s message of love and justice. After all, we are called to support each other, share what we know, and use our gifts to become beacons of Christ in the world.”
