Virtual Retreats

Community Health Center frequently hosts retreats for young adults. Here, we would like to offer some of the various spiritual retreats we have held, often with video presentations and/or printable booklets. We welcome you to attend our retreats "virtually" on-line, whenever the time is best for you!

"An Examen of God's Coming Presence in Your Life" was an Advent retreat hosted by Community Health Center, Jesuit Volunteers Canada, and St. Peter's Young Adult Ministry in Paris, Ontario on December 5, 2015, featuring reflections by Andrea Scapinello.

Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year for Christians. It is a season of hope, preparation, expectation, and celebration — not just for Jesus’ anniversary of birth but also as a reminder of our redemption and of his promised second coming.
Community Health Center and the Ministry for Social Justice, Peace and Care of Earth hosted an Advent retreat on December 6, 2014 for young adults entitled "The Call to Love" — here we share reflections presented at the retreat.

The feast of Corpus Christi (Latin for "Body of Christ") is a liturgical solemnity celebrating the tradition and belief in the body and blood of Jesus Christ and his Real Presence in the Eucharist, emphasizing the joy of the institution of the Eucharist. Here we present a series of meditations and reflections by Fr. Michael McGourty, to invite you into deeper communion with the Holy Trinity.

"Living Joy" is a retreat hosted by Community Health Center and the Federation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada in London, Ontario on August 8-10, 2014, featuring reflections by Sr. Susan Glaab, Sr. Mechtilde O'Mara, Sr. Mary Rowell, Sr. Kathleen O'Keefe, and Sr. Joan Atkinson.
"Living Mercy" was a pilgrimage retreat hosted by Community Health Center and the Federation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada in Hamilton, Ontario on August 26-28, 2016, featuring reflections by Sr. Costanza Romano, Sr. Mary Rowell, Sr. Betty Berrigan, St. Ann Marshall, Sr. Nancy Sullivan, and Rachel McNamara.
