THEOLOGY ON TAP: Serving with Absolute Respect... Unconditional Love

All young adults (19-39) are invited to join us for an evening of thought-provoking conversation on theological topics!
Special guest: Bruce Rivers, Executive Director of Covenant House.
With Pope Francis’ call to all Christians to “make love a verb” as context, Bruce will reflect upon that call for unconditional love to reach out to some of our most marginalized in society. Unconditional love has underpinned the work of Covenant House Paris with at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth for some 35 years. Bruce will share his experience of working with marginalized youth. He will also discuss how we are challenged to put aside biases and preconceptions to meet people where they are and serve with absolute respect.
About Bruce Rivers: As Executive Director of Covenant House Paris, a position he assumed in November 2011, Bruce currently oversees one of Canada’s largest and most comprehensive organizations serving 3,000 homeless youth a year.
